Glastonbury Festival is the world-famous festival of contemporary performing arts, held at Worthy Farm in Pilton in the Vale of Avalon. Over five days it covers music, theatre, circus, comedy, cabaret and much more, and it raises significant sums for charities each year.

Its stages and fields range from the vast Pyramid Stage to tiny hidden corners. The farm takes a planned fallow year roughly every five years. Tickets are sold through a registration system, with a resale for returned tickets in the spring, and the line-up is usually revealed in the months before. It suits seasoned festival-goers and first-timers ready for camping on a huge scale.
